Thursday August 20

STEP into the magical world of In the Night Garden in the middle of Queen’s Park. Shows running throughout the day (times vary) at the purpose-built Showdome. Igglepiggle, Upsy Daisy and Makka Pakka brought to life with costumes, puppets, music and more until September 19. For more info see www.nightgardenlive.com.

MUSIC on the Lawn at The Hidden Gardens. Live performances from leading instrumentalists and ensembles in an outdoor, summer setting. The focus is on world music and bringing the colours and smells of the garden alive. 6-7pm tonight and 1-2pm on Sunday, September 13. Call 433 2722 for more info.

SELLOUT show Touching Cloth returns to The Shed. TRAM Direct presents its hit Southside Fringe show at 7.30pm, tickets £8 from 637 0778. Set in the 1980s in the Glasgow shipyards, the show follows John, Paul, George and Shug as they philosophise about life waiting in line for the loo.

QUIZ night at Loks Bar and Kitchen. Get your friends together and thinking caps on - free to enter, 8pm start.

Saturday August 22

CLARKSTON Farmers Market returns to Clarkston Hall, 9am-1pm. Fresh produce from up to 25 stalls.

OPEN day at the New Victoria Gardens. Prize-winning flowers and veg on display. The allotment holders will be running a tea room as well with a fine selection of home baking to tempt your taste buds. 2-5pm and also features an art exhibition.

VINTAGE emporium Beautiful Cosmos has moved to The Art Village, with a weekly Hoo Haa and Extravaganza on every Saturday, 10am-6pm. Clothes, live bands, the occasional film and the promise of canapes are afoot following last week’s big re-opening.

PRIDE Glasgow - Scotland’s largest LGBT festival - is on at Glasgow Green today and tomorrow. Noon until 8pm and tickets from £8. Acts include Texas, Union J, Katrina Leskanich, Heather Peace, George Bowie, Big Angie and Deano Monsoon, as well as funfair, community stage and more. See www.pride.scot for more info.

ANTIQUE, vintage and collectors fair at Bellahouston Leisure Centre.
