HOGMANAY - time for those first footers!

JANUARY marks a last chance to catch the Turner Prize Exhibition at Tramway. The Pollokshields venue hosts an installation by winning collective Assemble, and the other shortlisted entries, until January 17. Entry is free - for more info, call 08453303501.

AND there’s more panto fun at the King’s Theatre. Catch the classic show Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (the fairest panto of them all) until January 10. For more info, head to www.atgtickets.com.

ROCK and roll into 2016 at The Hard Rock Cafe’s family friendly Hogmanay celebrations. 7pm-1am for welcome drink, three courses and a buffet for little ones. £29.95 entry, £15 for children under 12. Call 353 8790 for more info.

COMPUTER classes start up at Glasgow libraries. Getting Started computer classes will be on offer in libraries across the city, with morning, afternoons and evenings available until December 31, 2016. Free five week courses including basic skills with mouse and keyboard, basic internet use, improving internet skills, email and using a tablet/iPad.

TUESDAY JANUARY 5

BURNS gets a grilling at the latest Mearns History Group meeting, from 7.30pm in Fairweather Hall. Tonight, Hugh Farrell presents Would the real Robert Burns please stand? - an attempt to dispel the many myths about the life and times of the national bard. JOIN Glasgow City Heritage Trust for a St Mungo’s Festival double lecture. 6pm at the St Mungo Museum of Religious Life and Art.
