FESTIVAL of One Act Plays at Eastwood Park. Local drama groups perform 7pm tonight, 1.30pm tomorrow and 7.30pm Saturday, supported by Scottish Community Drama. Tickets £8, applicable for all sessions, from 577 4956.

Friday March 6

CHARITY race night in aid of stray dogs in Tanzania. Friends of Mbwa Wa Africa welcome all to Clarkston Bowling and Tennis Club from 7pm. Cost £7 including snack. Tickets from Phyllis on 07931555977.

COFFEE morning, in aid of children’s polio hospital Kwa Mkono, at St Aidan’s Church, Clarkston Toll. 10am-noon for baking, gifts, raffle and more. £2 entry includes tea, coffee and homebakes.

PARENT and child taster day at Greenbank Gardens. Greenbank Woodland Play welcome all from 10am until 3pm for fun, games, and more on the Forest School Nursery. £2 per family.

AFTERNOON tea at Park Church. Fundraiser kicks off at 2pm and entry is £3 (£2 children). All welcome.

OPEN information evening on the new South Glasgow Hospitals. 7.30pm at Newton Mearns Baptist Church, with a presentation by Dr Kate Munro, community engagement manager, followed by Q&A. All welcome.

Thursday March 12

TALK on The West End - a delusion of grandeur at Clarkston Halls. Part of National Trust for Scotland Eastwood and District Members’ Centre series. 7.30pm start.
