Thursday May 21

IMAGINE reading your teenage diary now, to an audience, for laughs. That’s just what these poor unfortunate souls are doing in Pure Riddy, a Southside Fringe event at The Bungo from 7pm. £5/£2 entry.

POLITICS, songs and dance at Govanhill Baths as Fatima Uygun, Colin Poole and Jim Monaghan tell the story of the Matchgirls’ Strike of 1888 - with music by Gavin Livingstone. Stike a Light runs until Saturday, 7.30pm, and tickets are £7-£10. Part of the Southside Fringe.

Friday May 22

CATS Protection Giffnock and District Branch are on the fundraising trail again with a 1950s and 60s fancy dress disco. 7pm-midnight at the Redhurst Hotel. Tickets are £6 from 638 5110 and the night will include a tombola and prizes for the best costumes - as well as raising money for cats and kittens in need.

Saturday May 23

GOVANHILL People’s History Listening Trail kicks off from Govanhill Baths at 10am. Free event as part of the Southside Fringe. Suitable for ages nine and up. Call 07727015703 for more info.
