GRITTY musical comedy at the Citz for The Choir, by Paul Higgins and Ricky Ross. A group of strangers come together - not always willingly - to sing in a community choir. Runs until November 14 and times and ticket prices vary - see www.citz.co.uk.

CATHCART Model Railway Exhibition returns to Pollokshaws Burgh Hall today and tomorrow. 10am until 5pm for working model railway layouts, society stands, traders and a buffet. Entry is £4.50 standard, £4 conc, £2 children and £11 family.

GHOST and ghouls roam the halls and the gardens have graves at Holmwood House, the Holm of Halloween. 11am-4pm today and tomorrow - £4 standard entry, £14 family ticket.

MONDAY OCTOBER 26

THORNLIEBANK community engagement event, asking residents how they would make the area a better place to live, work and visit. Open 10am-8pm at Thorntree Hall until October 28.

ALL welcome to the Renfrewshire Branch of the Embroiderers’ Guild at Fairweather Hall, Newton Mearns. 7.30pm start and tonight’s guest speaker is Brian Hill, on Scottish lace making. Free first meeting, membership available.
