Willie adds to Kilsyth book series

HISTORIAN Willie Chalmers has capped a very productive year by releasing another three books, and his much sought after Kilsyth Tartan Calendar.

That takes the Howe Road resident’s tally to an incredible 12 books for the year, but expect more to arrive early in 2012.

The latest publications are numbers eight, nine and ten in Willie’s highly-popular Times Past, Kilsyth series, which have proved a big hit with the locals!

The Kilsyth Tartan Calendar needs little introduction, as it has been a popular stocking filler with many Kilsythians for several years, and 2012’s offering certainly won’t disappoint.

Willie said: “I had 40 copies of the calendar down in Cant’s and they sold out right away.

“I’ve got another delivery of them in so they’re back on sale.”

All can be purchased at R. A. Cant and Son on Main Street, with the books priced at £6.50 and the calendar £5.50.
