Window to the Past: Cogan Street, 1950s

Here’s a fine line-up of Albion vehicles with Glasgow registration numbers, the nearest one is the YS that originally belonged to Partick before it and the US of Govan were taken over by the City of Glasgow and incorporated in the G series of registration numbers.

This is the loading bay of the creamery in Cogan Street, the street was seen in photo 278.

They are all Albions built at the factory in South Street, Scotstoun.

As far as can be made out they have early Glasgow two-letter registration numbers from the 1940s and early 1950s.
