Window to the Past: The Red Lion Inn

This old tavern was once often used by stagecoaches travelling through the area of Mearnskirk.

Situated on the Glasgow-Kilmarnock Road (now Old Mearns Road), the Inn was eventually pulled down in 1935.

The site of the hostelry was located in what is now Kirkview Crescent.
