X Factor Lloyd atlights switch-on

THE line-up for this year’s Christmas lights switch-on has been confirmed and it’s shaping up to be a cracker.

X Factor finalist Lloyd Daniels has been named as the star attraction at this year’s ever popular event and is sure to bring the crowds in.

The big switch on is set to take place on Saturday, November 19 starting at 1pm in Cumbernauld Shopping Centre and the event will be hosted by Real Radio’s Ewan Cameron.

This year crowds will have the chance to see a wealth of local talent take to the stage, including X Factor contestant Nicole Simpson, Blok Dance Troupe and Michael Buble tribute act Totally Buble.

Special guest Santa will also be there to kick off the festive celebrations and open his grotto. Town Centre co-ordinator Jack Duffy said: “We’ve been working hard to put together a great show for this year’s Christmas lights switch-on in Cumbernauld and I’m delighted with the line-up.

“We’re bringing some of Cumbernauld’s great talent to the stage with Blok Dance Troupe and Nicole Simpson entertaining us in the lead-up to the switch on.

“We’re delighted to be bringing Lloyd Daniels of the X Factor to Cumbernauld and I’m sure he’ll attract a big crowd on the day and, of course, no switch on would be complete without a visit from Santa Claus!

“It promises to be a great day for the family and we encourage everyone to get there early to get a good spot in the crowd.”
