5. Kola Cubes
Kola Cubes were everywhere, if we used them for construction instead of consumption, we probably could have built a scale-model Kola Glasgow - they were the quintessential sweet of the 60’s all over the UK, so it was no surprise to see so many of them around the city. Photo: Third Party

6. Irn Bru bar
Two of Scotland's favourite things combined. Irn Bru bars were a childhood favourite and the root cause of many a tooth filling. Photo: Third Party

7. Curly Wurly
Getting a Curly Wurly instantly made you the envy of all your pals - such was the sheer length of the thing. They’d be begging for a bit, even as you tried to explain the science behind it, it’s not a solid bar there’s gaps in between - it’s no use, it’s already been broken up and divvied amongst your pals and somehow you’ve ended up with the worst crumbly bit of it. Such is Glasgow at halloween. | Cadbury

8. Macaroons
Scottish Macaroons were the business - not to be confused with French macarons which are made from almonds. If you can believe this the fondant centre of a macaroon contains mashed potato, which we were surprised to find out. | Contributed
