School is officially out for summer which means you might be looking for some inspiration to keep the kids occupied over the holidays.
The weather is never guaranteed in Glasgow and although it may be summer, we are still likely to get rainy days but don’t worry as we have put together some of the best activities to get up to when it starts to pour down.
Some of these activities are completely free and others you will have to pay for but they are sure to keep everyone happy and occupied.
1. Behold the brilliant Burrell Collection
The Burrell Collection is an award-winning museum located in the heart of Pollok Country Park. It has been described as “one of the greatest art collections” as it consists of over 9,000 objects that span over 6,000 years of history. 3. Catch a film at Everyman Cinema

4. Head to the beach at Silverburn
Pink flamingos have flocked back to Glasgow for Summer as Silverburn as Flamingo Beach has returned, bigger and better for 2024. Open 10am-5pm daily from Monday 24 June until Tuesday 20 August, children can play in the golden sands of Flamingo Beach located in Silverburn’s main atrium. As well as playing in the sand and building sandcastles, kids can also enjoy a slide – a new addition to the beach this year. | Supplied
