The unofficial “B-Day” will on June 19 which is the final deadline for businesses to vote with postal ballots being sent out on May 8.
Bubbles Factory owner Martin Hannah, vice-chairman of the BID steering group, said: “The BID will give business owners a real voice and a real say on where money is spent in Carluke. The majority of businesses will pay less than £5.50 per week into a BID Investment Levy, raising £64,000 each year.
“BIDs also have access to match funding which could mean an annual budget of £128,000. It would mean we would have strength in numbers.”
