The council has agreed to make available its existing budget for events to promote Carluke town centre, currently totalling £5000 per annum, to the BID.

The local authority will also vote in favour of the BID for each of the properties it owns in the BID area.

Office accommodation and IT support for the BID manager, in addition to officials support, will also be provided by the local authority.

The ballot process will be managed by the council’s election office and BID levies collected by its finance teams.

Depending on its makeup, it is also likely that two elected members will have places on the BID board.
