While public health remains the priority, the local authority says it is vital for the council - and its partners - to gauge the fiscal challenges being faced by all.

The council is running an online survey this month to help inform the evolving Economic Recovery Plan (ERP) for East Dunbartonshire and future proposals to mitigate the devastating effects of the pandemic.

The survey asks questions about the impact of the pandemic on employment, local businesses, use of local amenities and travel behaviours. It also seeks views on potential future actions.

Councillor Andrew Polson, joint leader of the council, said: “The COVID-19 pandemic has left no community untouched. This survey aims to provide an up-to-date snapshot of the local economic situation - guiding the ERP and helping to ensure we provide targeted, co-ordinated support with our partners - both local and national.”

Councillor Vaughan Moody, joint leader of the council, added: “I would encourage everyone to take time out to engage with the survey.
