The winners will be announced during the live event hosted by Radio 1 DJ Gemma Cairney and streamed on Young Scot’s YouTube channel.

Suhit launched his company to manage ‘influencers’ on social media platforms – such as You Tube, Instagram and Twitch – while he was depute head boy at Hutchesons’ Grammar School.

At the same time, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma, a cancer that attacks the lymph nodes, and had to undergo aggressive chemotherapy sessions while studying for his Higher exams – yet still achieved 6As.

Saulderson now represents some of the world’s top internet influencers, including Scotland’s biggest Call of Duty creator MarleyThirteen.

Suhit was due to join the other Young Scot Award finalists for a red-carpet ceremony at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre in September, but like so many other events this year, it has had to be cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

However, awards host Gemma is sure the online ceremony will still be something special for those involved and a night to remember for everyone.

She said: “This year’s award ceremony will be unlike any other and I’m delighted to be host of the first ever virtual Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards.

“I can’t wait to meet the incredible finalists as I’m completely inspired by their stories, accomplishments, and huge contributions to their communities.”

Now in their 14th year, the awards highlight the amazing achievements of young people across Scotland.

Winners will join a prestigious roll call including actors such as Karen Gillan and Martin Compston, alongside world class athletes including Sir Andy Murray and Olympian Laura Muir.
