A prime Glasgow office building has been given a sweeping makeover to create “a workspace that supports healthy active lifestyles”.

Property developer Nora said it had completed a comprehensive refurbishment of Five Cadogan, which is located in the city’s central business district and provides some 66,500 square feet of Grade A office accommodation, across ground and six upper floors.

The revitalised building features a full-height glazed atrium and offers flexible floor plates from 8,000 sq ft. A focal reception area features a “community welcome bar”, breakout huddle space, a kitchenette, focus rooms, meeting rooms and a collaborative area booth.

A newly created “wellbeing basement space” is said to support active lifestyles and features “wellness pods”, a presentation/cinema room, yoga suite, gymnasium and secure bike storage along with changing and shower rooms.

Colin McGhee of Savills, joint letting agent, said: “The completion of Five Cadogan, together with Network Rail’s commitment to the building, prior to the refurbishment’s conclusion, highlights the significance of vision and superior quality amenities in attracting investment and creating employment opportunities in Glasgow. This drive and approach is contributing to the city’s appeal to attract businesses.”

Simon Capaldi of Knight Frank, also joint letting agent, added: “Five Cadogan establishes a new benchmark for Glasgow offices, prioritising occupier-focused design, environmental considerations, and premium onsite amenities.

“The area and interior is finished to a very high standard and currently features 78 workstations, meeting rooms and breakout areas. Outstanding shared facilities include a roof terrace with lounge seating and outdoor igloo pods.”
