Home-buyers queue up for four hours to bag Motherwell property
By opening time at 10am a queue of prospective buyers customers were gathered at the Springfield site just off Hamilton Road.
The new 100 home development near Dalziel High consists of two, three and four bedroom contemporary homes.

Hide AdNewly-weds Jill and Scott Murphy were among the first to arrive at 6am.
Jill said: “The location of this development is key for us. We live in a flat just around the corner at the minute.
“It’s so handy for the motorway and we have family nearby – this development would be perfect for us.”
Fiona Sheikh-Alzour and Noah Muhammad wrapped up warm to reserve a four-bedroom house.

Hide AdFiona said, “We’ve been looking for a new home for the last six months. We’ve been really excited about this development officially opening.
“It is close to the high school and as we have four kids that’s really important. It ticks all the boxes for us.”
The development received more than 60 visitors over the weekend with two sales and a further ten homes on hold.
Sales executive Kim Kenealy said: “I’ve been speaking with many of the customers in the weeks leading up to the official opening so I knew the site would be popular, but it was amazing to see so many people just as excited about the development as we are.”
