HMRC will close in March 2022 when the site moves to a ‘superhub’ in Glasgow’s Argyll Street.

It has emerged now that a Planning Permission in Principle application has now been sent to North Lanarkshire Council to build both flats and homes on the St Mungo's Road site after demolition takes place.

The application which has been sent in by land owners Mapeley Estates requires a further full planning application and works to be submitted and green lit before work can start.
