Police seek thug who knocked woman to the ground in Cumbernauld street

A 21-year-old woman was the victim of an attack in Cumbernauld on Sunday (July 18) – when a cowardly thug approached her from behind and knocked her to the ground.

The incident happened around 5.25am as she walked near the Berry Hill Road underpass in Seafar.

Detective Constable Katy Goldie of Coatbridge CID said :“The woman was unhurt but extremely upset by the incident. We are carrying out a review of CCTV and door to door enquiries in effort to identify the man. He has been described as between five foot five inches to six foot tall, of thin build, with blonde/ginger hair and was wearing a light coloured baseball cap.”
