Southside salon in running for National Wedding Award

HQC Hairdressing is not just the only business from Glasgow nominated in the category, but the only one in Scotland to be shortlisted.

The salon has been trading for 25 years and has just launched its mobile bridal services, and as owner Fiona Bell explains, the award win would be an amazing coup for all the staff.

She said: “It would be phenomenal if we won. We’re just a small salon in the middle of a housing estate, but we have some great customers.

“It means so much that they have nominated us. It’s great to receive a good review, but this is just amazing.”

The salon has also been nominated for Best Salon within the British Hair and Beauty Awards 2019.

Fiona continued: “I think this is definitely our year. We are relying on votes the more we have, the better chance of winning. “

She added: “If we win, I think the whole of Glasgow will hear about it!”
