The Original Factory Shop's opening soon

The store is moving into the former Poundstretcher building on Station Road.

The Original Factory Shop sells furniture, things for the home, garden accessories, cosmetics, children’s items and electrical goods.

It will be open seven days a week from 9am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday.

Gilbert McVean the owner of The Iron Chef in Mugdock Road, Milngavie, since 1998, welcomed the news that a new business is opening in the village.

He said: “I’m delighted to see any unit that was lying empty being reoccupied, particularly one the size of Poundstretcher.

“It’s good news for Milngavie as a whole that new businesses are coming here and it’s encouraging for the future of the local economy.”
