Hunt is on for teachers that are top of the form

People are being urged to nominate the local schools and teaching professionals that go the extra mile for recognition at the national awards ceremony.

East Dunbartonshire Council’s education convener, Councillor Maureen Henry, said: “These awards are an excellent opportunity to shine a light on the hard work that goes on within education across the country and to reward those who regularly go above and beyond the call of duty.

“By highlighting best practice we can all learn and continue to improve the educational experience of our young people.”

There are a wide variety of award categories which aim to recognise and reward the dedication of teaching staff and educational supporters across Scotland.

Entry is open to all publicly funded schools including primary, secondary, nursery and special schools.

Nominations close on February 15 and the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Glasgow next June.
