New Covid link at secondary

Another secondary school has been linked to an outbreak of Covid-19 after Uddingston Grammar admitted there was an issue on campus

Stewart Nicolson, Head of Education said: “We can confirm that a number of individuals at Uddingston Grammar are currently isolating.

“This is on NHS public health advice and is standard procedure for anyone who has been identified by Test and Protect as being a close contact of someone who has tested positive for Covid-19.”

Last month, North Lanarkshire Council’s Taylor High School hit the headlines amidst claims from irate parents that staff and education bosses did not have a handle on the crisis. It was reported that some youngsters were self-isolating for the second period within the school year to date and that the life chances of older pupils were being jeopardised by too many lessons being cancelled.
