Carers’ scheme toboost confidence

Caring for Carers is a new initiative which is being funded by the Big Lottery Fund.

The two and a half year pilot project will work with carers of all ages across all of the college’s campuses - including Cumbernauld - as well as in local communities across Lanarkshire.

Marie Campbell, project manager, said: “We want to ensure carers look and feel good, helping them to continue with their caring role with more confidence.

“We have set-up a designated hub within the Coatbridge campus of New College Lanarkshire which will be a fun and friendly environment where carers can drop in and take advantage of the services on offer.”
