COVID-19 assessment centre opens in East Renfrewshire

East Renfrewshire’s COVID-19 Assessment Centre has opened at Eastwood Health and Care Centre in Clarkston.

The assessment centre was originally due to open last week, but it was put back until today (Wednesday, April 15).

Attendance at the assessment centre is by appointment only following a call to 111.

Eastwood Health and Care Centre continues to remain open for routine appointments, including GPs and immunisations.

Only people with a scheduled appointment should enter the building.

People should not attend to drop off repeat prescription order forms – they should contact their GP by phone.

Anyone arriving by car will be directed by a security guard.

Side entrances to the centre should not be used, only the front entrance.

Hand sanitiser is available at the front entrance and should be used on entering and exiting the building.

Social distancing applies within the health centre, and everyone should try to keep their distance from others as much as possible.

Once your appointment is over, you should leave the building straight away.
