Town’s biggest event has been cancelled

Leisure bosses have stated that the Cumbernauld 10K will not take place this year due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

It was felt that due to the weight of numbers involved in the increasingly high profile run, it was simply not safe to let the race take place on Sunday, September 20.

Event organiser Grant Shearer said: “We know our runners will be disappointed that these events will not go ahead as planned this year.
