Jim Brown, the community fundraiser at the Denny hospice has arranged a drop in afternoon at Muirfield Community Facility from noon to 3pm tomorrow (Thursday) so that local people can find out more.

Said Jim: ‘‘The hospice spends almost £1.25 million on services with 2000 visits and treatments, 1000 visits to the daycare facility, care for 300 patients and their families. It has three dedicated clinical nurse specialists and has a 24 hour advice line.’’

A similar event in Kilsyth is also proposed.
