For most of this year, Angela Hamilton has been petitioning for improved services for people with mental health problems, such as shorter waiting times for specialist facilities.

MSPs have now agreed to consider Angela’s petition alongside its current mental health inquiry. Sir Harry Burns, chairman of the review into targets and indicators, will also be contacted.

Angela said: “I think they are finally taking mental health seriously. I am pleasantly surprised the petition has progressed this far.”
