Housebuilder steps in to help frontline staff at Monklands Hospital
Barratt Homes has handed over space face masks, gloves, overshoes, safety goggles and antibacerial gel and wipes to nurses and doctors to help in their ongoing fight against the Coronavirus.
With its construction suspended, the housebuilder identified an opportunity to help and gathered up equipment it uses itself to pass on.

Alison Condie, managing director for Barratt East Scotland, said: “Our NHS is doing an outstanding job in the fight against COVID-19 and they deserve to be as protected as possible. We appreciate all the work the doctors, nurses and care workers are carrying out looking after those in need and we’re pleased to be able to help by making this donation.”
Meanwhile, tributes to our NHS staff continue to pour in with a high number showing their support on the website of the Cumbernauld News and Kilsyth Chronicle before people took to their doorsteps to send out a round of applause last Thursday.
Cumbernauld Environmental Society has also paid its own tribute by erecting this special banner at Cumbernauld Peace Garden to praise all involved. The society’s Bobby Johnstone said: “They are doing a marvellous job and it’s just a way of showing our appreciation.”
