A real glass act

A FATHER and son from Carstairs Village have proved they’re a couple of ‘glass acts’ – by fitting new double glazed windows for a Channel 4 television show on home improvement.

Steven Reid Snr and Jnr, of Rosemount Crescent, are starring in the hour-long Phil Spencer’s Secret Agent, which is being screened for a second time from 2pm this Thursday, November 8.

“We’re on screen for about 15 minutes of this week’s show,” Steven Snr told the Gazette.

“It’s a programme in which Phil tries to assist people struggling to sell their homes by helping to upgrade the properties.

“My son and I were chosen to fit the windows at a detached bungalow in Uddingston, which is good publicity for our business.

“I don’t know if the house has sold yet.”
