BIGGAR Theatre Workshop’s very own David Bowie will be stepping into Johnny Depp’s shoes as the theatre workshop stages Stephen Sondheim’s acclaimed musical Sweeney Todd.
The musical thriller about the demon barber of Fleet Street will see David star as Sweeney Todd, who seeks revenge after being unjustly transported to Australia.
Todd, real name Benjamin Barker, forms a murderous partnership with pie merchant Mrs Lovett, played by Rosemarie Wallace, who bakes his victims into her pastry treats – lovely!
