Aileen’s made of the the write stuff

A CUMBERNAULD writer who penned a poem about her favourite place in Scotland has joined the ranks of Michael Palin, Liz Lochhead and Alexander McCall Smith and Sally Magnusson in a new publication.

Aileen Jardine, (43), from Chestnut Avenue entered her verse G For Glasgow in a competition for Book Week Scotland 2012.

Its organisers wanted to produce an anthology which featured the work of professional and non professional writers about Scotland’s most loved locations.
