Are you ready to make a moo-ve for famous Campsie Show?

EXCITEMENT is growing ahead of the Campsie Show on Saturday, June 2.

The popular event takes place at Bogton Farm, Torrance, starting at 9am.

Attractions include:

* Cattle, sheep and heavy horse classes, and a wide variety of breeds on display.

* Light horses, showjumping and showing classes starting at 9am. Please note, no cars (unless towing a horse box) will be permitted into horse box parking area due to health and safety reasons.

* Wide variety of trade stands, including agricultural machinery, gardening equipment and local traders selling goods.

* Numerous stands in the craft tent selling handcrafted goods.

* Grand parade of livestock at 2pm showcasing prizewinners.

* Vintage tractors and cars – judging at 12.30pm.

* Dog show – enter at secretary’s tent, judging starts at 2.30pm, classes include: terrier – any variety; gun dog – any variety; open – any other variety; dog with waggiest tail; dog the judge would like to take home; and best child handler.

* Kirkintilloch Dog Club display.

* Alba Falconry – static and flying display.

* Wood-carving demonstrations.

* Children’s rides and entertainment including ‘Bounce Buddies’ inflatables and climbing wall.

* Torrance Gala Parade joins the show and Torrance Gala Queen will be crowned. The parade leaves Torrance Main Street at 12.05pm.

* Entertainment all afternoon on ‘trailer’ – local dance groups, karate demonstration and music from the Jimmy Blair Accordion Orchestra – led by musical director Gary Blair.

* Catering and bar facilities, including a hog roast.

* Industrial Tent – various classes of baking and crafts for all ages.

* Craft demonstration at noon on working with corn. All welcome.

* RHET (Royal Highland Educational Trust) are running a treasure hunt.

* Loch Lomond Young Farmers will hold a team shears competition. Teams of three are invited to enter. You have to ride a bike to generate power to work clippers to shear a sheep in the fastest time.
