Artist gives Festival crowds the Biggar picture
It is probably safe to say that Douglas Davies is one of the most cosmopolitan citizens of the wee hamlet of Skirling, where he has lived and worked for thirty years.
When not painting stretches of his beloved local countryside, he is to be found depicting the very different landscapes of Catalonia or Brittany.

Hide AdIndeed, he combines two of his favourite locations into one show when ‘Shades of Spain and Tones of the River Tweed’ opens at Edinburgh’s Dundas Street Gallery on Friday, an exhibition which runs through to Saturday, August 23 as part of the Festival arts programme.
