Biggar Little Festival welcomes Seann Walsh

BIGGAR Little Festival welcomes one of Britain’s most outstanding up-and-coming comedians this month in the shape of the sensational Seann Walsh.

Seann’s show at the town’s Municipal Hall is sure to be a sellout to see one of British comedy’s brightest stars who have been honing their talents at this year’s Edinburgh Festival.

And lucky punters will be able to get a double slice of comedy as Seann’s good friend Josh Widdicombe will also be appearing.

Seann (25), who hails from Brighton, has been ripping up the comedy circuit since he began his stand-up career almost six years ago with awards, including the Chortle Best Newcomer in 2009, coming thick and fast.

Despite always having an ambition to try comedy, Seann told the Gazette of his main reason for getting into the business.

“I really had no option,” said Seann. “The pub I was working in was closing.

“I had two choices; try comedy or stack shelves in Tesco so it was an easy decision.

“I have only known Josh for a couple of years but we get on really well so it’s great to be doing a show with him.”
