Biggar’s Taj Mahal nominated for three Curry Awards

STAFF at Biggar’s Taj Mahal restaurant are hoping they will be celebrating a treble – after being nominated for three Scottish Curry Awards.

The Taj workers are looking to regain their Team of the Year title which they secured back in 2012.

The restaurant has also been nominated for the best marketing campaign while Taj manager Abed Ullah is nominated in the Maitre D’ of the Year category for the second successive year.

There were more than 9000 nominations for the awards so it’s quite an achievement for the Taj Mahal to even be nominated.

However, now that the competition is hotting up, Abed is hoping to curry favour with the judges once again.
