

Nineteen-year-old Harry Prentice was diagnosed with heart failure in 2011 and suffered a stroke after being given the donated heart in June of last year.
Now on the mend, Harry and mum Yvonne, who live in Braehead, backed calls for Scotland to use an opt-out system of organ donation rather than the current opt-in system.

Harry said: “Now I am on the road to recovery I can honestly say I feel so much better with my new heart.
“To wake up in the morning feeling more alive, energetic and that the effort required to do things is so much easier is fantastic.
“It’s not until you have that actual feeling that you appreciate what having a healthy heart is.
