Carluke Primrose set for annual concert

MEMBERS of Carluke Primrose Orchestral Flutes have enjoyed another champion year, which will be rounded off by this year’s Christmas concert.

The concert, which takes place at Carluke Lifestyles Centre this Saturday, promises to be a great festive night as always.

There will be a fantastic collection of the orchestra’s favourite pieces from their varied repertoire old and new, alongside some Christmas classics and carols.

The annual event will be led as always by conductor Lex McDowell, with the members looking to celebrate another stellar year for the orchestra.

The main highlight of the year was the fact that Carluke Primrose managed to regain the Scottish Championship it had lost for the first time in 14 years back in 2012.
