Celebrate your heritage in the Clyde and Avon Valleys

THOSE living in the Clyde Valley and interested in the heritage of their area are invited to drop in on a village tour in the coming months - with the initial event today, Saturday. The first stops on the tour are Crossford Community Hall on March 2, and Lanark’s Tolbooth on March 16, both Saturday mornings from 10am until 1pm.

The tour, led by the Clyde and Avon Valley Landscape Partnership (CAVLP) will visit all the villages in its project area, to involve local people in protecting, preserving and celebrating this unique and beautiful part of the world.

And organisers are asking local people to bring along something, such as a photo, piece of writing, drawing or artefact, to help build a picture of what’s special to them about their village or local landscape.
