Celia comes home

NOT many people will recall that distinguished film and TV actress Celia Imrie worked, in the early part of her career, in a little Gorbals theatre.

But now, for one night only, the lady is returning to her roots when she appears as herself on stage at the Citizen’s Theatre.

Celia was part of the company for several years appearing in many works including Jean Genet’s trilogy — The Balcony, The Blacks and The Screens — and the Marquis De Sade’s Philosophy in the Boudoir.

Celia will be in conversation with fellow actress Fidelis Morgan and will talk about her life and work.

Nop doubt she will recall with fondness her days at the theatre.

There will also be a question and answer session at the end where the audience can ask Celia about her work.

Tickets are £12 from the box office.
