Director Phillip Fox and Choral Union members have been invited to participate in a performance of Karl Jenkins’ The Peacemakers on January 19 next year.

The Choral Union first performed The Peacemakers at a concert in Lanark’s St Mary’s Church in April and it would appear that they managed to make a tremendous impression!

The singers will spend five days in the Big Apple and nine to 10 hours rehearsing ahead of the big performance.

Shena Fox, from the Choral Union, said: “I got an email from the Carnegie Hall to say that they would like to invite us over.

“To be honest I thought it was a scam!”

Any local people or businesses who would like to sponsor the Choral Union on this trip should contact Shena on 07790 676676 or email [email protected].
