Cumbernauld author launches debut novel

A CUMBERNAULD author will launch his debut novel in Glasgow tomorrow (Friday, August 3).

Brian Young, from Carrickstone, took six years to research and write The Eagle has Fallen which will be launched at a cheese and wine party in Fressh, 51 Cochrane Street, from 6pm to 10pm.

An archeologist from Historic Scotland, Roman soldiers, a Syrian belly dancer will be at the launch of the book,

which is based on the legend of the Ninth Legion who mysteriously disappeared without explanation.

There will also be Roman artifacts on display and readings throughout the evening.
