Cumbernauld snooker club to host charity fund-raiser

THE Triangle Snooker Club in Cumbernauld is set to host a charity night extravaganza, all in aid of Strathcarron hospice.

Two sisters from Cumbernauld have organised a race night at the town centre club in honour of their late Papa, after he passed away in June this year from cancer.

Leighann Wright and sister Samantha Brass have prepared a night to say thank you to the people who helped their papa when he needed it most and such is the swell of community support for the event, the pair are asking those coming to get there early as the night looks set to be more than fully booked.

Leighann said: “We’ve got loads of local businesses that have kindly donated things so we’ll be holding a raffle for different prizes as well as the races.

“It really looks like it’s going to be a busy night though. If people want to be there then they have to be there early. Everything kicks off at 8pm with the Silver Fox Music DJ set, but I’d advise to be there before that if you want a seat.”

The evening of entertainment will be on Friday, September 9 at the Triangle Club. Contact Leighann on 07765562189 for further details.
