David Hayman back in Biggar with one man show

David will bring the play, written by good friend Rony Bridges, to Biggar Municipal Hall on Saturday, October 15, and will be one of the headline acts for this year’s Biggar Little Festival.

As well as performing the play he will also be taking part in a question and answer session with the audience.

Play director Stephen Wright said: “After his appearance at the opening of the Biggar Little Cinema David came back to us and was really enthusiastic about the town and wanted to put on the show there.

“We have had some fantastic nights with both the show and the question and answer session that follows so I expect Biggar will be just as good.”

Six and a Tanner is a one man show set in a Glasgow funeral parlour.

David plays Joe, a man dealing with the death of his abusive father and the show depicts their relationship from Joe’s childhood growing up in Glasgow in the 1950s and 60s to manhood.

It deals with a variety of different issues including mortality, redemption and hopes as well as the usual gallus Glasgow humour.
