Dolphinton artist Shelagh Atkinson takes one picture per day for collection

Dolphinton woman Shelagh Atkinson celebrates the daily challenge of taking 365 consecutive daily pictures on life.

Shelagh, who is an artist, found the concept of taking a photograph every day appealed to her, so she signed up immediately and has not missed a day since.

Shelagh said: “I am inspired by bare trees on the skyline bent by the wind, spiders weaving geometric shapes and traps. It’s the innumerable forms of life that inspire me to photograph and record the fine details of life!

“My view of the environment has been pulled into focus sharply and a heightened awareness of the stuff of life.

“Photography is central to the way I work as an artist maker, recording my long standing empathy with environment.”
