Double bill at Twa Corbies

THIS weekend sees the Twa Corbies present not one but two live gigs.

This Friday, April 6, Ayrshire rock/blues outfit Five Wheel Drive are your hosts, while the following night top Sixties tribute act Itchycoo Park make another appearance at the local venue.

Five Wheel Drive have played Scotland’s rock venues for almost ten years, and also toured Scandinavia. Vocalist Paul Kean said: “We are really looking forward to playing the Twa Corbies in Cumbernauld - it’s picked up a great reputation over the past year or so. We’ve never played in the town, so hopefully the folks’ll come out to play on Friday night.”

Saturday sees the welcome return of a band who are no stranger to Cumbernauld, having played a number of popular gigs at both the Corbies and Cumbernauld Theatre.

Local promoter Jock Barnson is confident this show will sell out fast, as Itchycoo Park are considered one of the best tribute acts in the business. “It’s always a full house, so come early and grab a seat. Regulars should not worry as Itchycoo Park will be back on Friday, May 4 doing their “hits of the 60s” set”.

Doors on both nights open 8pm and entry is £4 for the Saturday and £3 for the Friday.
