Dressing the part for Carluke Marie Curie collection

The pair were delighted to help out Marie Curie by collecting at the Tesco store.

The Great Daffodil Appeal is Marie Curie’s biggest annual fundraising campaign, asking people to give a donation and wear a Marie Curie daffodil pin.

All funds raised help Marie Curie Nurses support people living with a terminal illness in their own homes or at the charity’s two Scottish hospices in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Councillor Lynsey Hamilton said: “I was pleased to go along to my local Tesco to help collect for Marie Curie.

“It was fab to help out such a great cause and as always the people of Carluke were very generous with their donations, thank you!”

Claudia Beamish added: “I was delighted to help out such an important charity who provide vital support in the local community for those with long term illnesses and their families.

“I would like to say thank you to all the people who donated during our collection.

“The support shown was fantastic”
