Drumroll for Taiko drummers Sensai

MUGENKYO Taiko drummers are in for a treat later this month as Taiko Master Masaaki Kurumaya Sensei is coming to perform a special one-off concert in Glasgow.

The Master will be special guest at a concert by Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers, the first and only professional touring Taiko drum group in Europe, based at the Mugen Taiko Dojo outside Blackwood.

Twenty years ago, Neil Mackie and Miyuki Williams travelled to Japan and encountered the art-form of Taiko drumming in a fateful meeting with Kurumaya Sensei which would change their lives forever.

The Mugenkyo Taiko drummers will perform with Masaaki Kurumaya Sensei at the King’s Theatre in Glasgow on Sunday, October 28, at 7.30pm.
