The wedding of Connie Sherlock and Dermot Carry.

HOW THEY MET: Connie was working in the Crock o’ Gold Irish Bar in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria when holidaymaker Dermot walked in!

THE PROPOSAL: During a romantic break in Troon.

THE WEDDING: The pair were wed at picturesque Cumbernauld Old Parish Church and the reception was held at the Glenskirlie House.

THE WEDDING PARTY: About 100 attended and mixture of Scottish and Irish guests made it quite a combination- some were still partying on down at 6am!

THE DRESS: A beautifully made corset topped off the exquisitely jewelled dress which was bedecked with Swarovski crystals. The mini-train of the dress bore the couple’s initials. “I like my bling!’’ admitted Connie.

THE WEDDING PARTY: Chief bridesmaid was Connie’s pal Megan Webb. The other bridesmaids were Connie’s former colleague Joanna Newman and a friend from Ireland Karen Kennedy. Best man was Martin Kavanagh. Ushers were Ray Kavanagh and Connie’s brother Gary.

THE HONEYMOON: At time of going to press, the pair will be sunning themselves in Mauritius.
