The proposal - With a French accent! Yvonne took Colin to Paris in Christmas 2009 and he proposed at the Eiffel Tower.

The wedding - Married on the beach at Perybere Mauritius on May 8. The location was suggested by Colin’s friend, Carrickstone based Dr Ravind Busgeeth who is originally from the island and who kindly helped with the paperwork.

The dress - Yvonne opted for a slinky structured strapless number which boasted an elegant fishtail detail at the back - the dress required very careful handling as it crossed more than the half the globe for the big day.

The wedding party - Some 120 locals attended a more conviently located event at Dullatur Golf Club last month - as Colin and Yvonne had decided to fly out alone and arrange another celebration on their return.

The honeymoon - The couple simply chilled out at their Mauritian wedding destination which they had flown to on a mammoth journey via Dubai - and enjoyed wonderful ocean views with palm trees and banyan trees in the background.

Thanks - To all the family friends and neighbours who made the wedding reception such a special day. Plus Malcolm and his team at Dullatur Golf Club and the team at The Thrill of It All in Mollinsburn for all their tireless efforts before and after the wedding. The couple also want to convey their thanks to Ravind for his kindness.
